I am only interested in the identification of wild animal bones small mammals mostly. I don't need the human comparisons.

I can see the forensic value in this book but, like I said, not what I need a mammalian osteology manual for. I would like comparisons between animals of a similar size, so I can tell, for example, if one of my newest found skeletons belongs to a fox or raccoon or something else entirely. Skull is apparently raccoon, Awesome book but still not exactly what I'm looking for. Skull is apparently raccoon, feet are canine, sacrum has 4 sacral vertebrae instead of the 3 that raccoons have.
